In line with the mission of the social work profession, the experiences such as discrimination and oppression that individuals in disadvantaged and risky groups face directly or indirectly in different phases of their lives are mentioned. The aim of this course is to teach the alphabet, basic vocabulary and grammatical structures of Turkish Sign Language and to enable the students who take the course to communicate with the hearing impaired through this language. In this course, the student gets general information about Turkish Sign Language. He learns the alphabet, basic sentence structures, yes-no questions, negative sentences, questions related to time and time, numbers, question words, and words such as colors, emotions, food-drinks and clothing, and practices plenty of examples in the classroom. The student learns basic sign language and how to communicate with the hearing impaired by translating in this language. | ||||||||||
