The 7th General Assembly of the Union of Turkish Universities of the Organization of Turkish States (TÜRKÜNİB) was held on 20 May 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, which assumed the term presidency of TÜRKUNİB.
High-level officials, University Rectors, Vice-Rectors and representatives of the Union's member universities attended the General Assembly.
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hasan Hasanli, Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Prof. Dr. Adalat Muradov, President of the Turkish Academy Prof. Dr. Şahin Mustafayev made the opening speeches at the General Assembly.
Within the scope of the agenda, Turkish universities made presentations on the strengthening and institutionalization of TÜRKÜNİB.
At the meeting, a decision was taken to accept new member universities to TÜRKÜNİB.
