Social Contribution Policy

Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, acting with the awareness of social responsibility, attaches importance to contributing to science, art, technology and culture at local, national and international level. In line with its strategic goals and objectives, our university adopts the social contribution quality policy within the framework of the following principles:

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to prioritise participatory and interdisciplinary studies at national and international level to meet the needs and solve the problems of the world, our country and our city,

To encourage and support solution-oriented and interdisciplinary studies on social problems in line with Sustainable Development Goals,

To aim to produce knowledge, services and technology for the benefit of society in the fields of science, technology, culture, arts and sports,

To include courses on social responsibility and social contribution in the education programmes in order to raise individuals with a sense of social responsibility,

To encourage active participation of staff and students in community service and volunteering activities,

To provide educational opportunities to different segments of the society through lifelong learning activities,

To contribute to sustainable development and environmental awareness by developing social responsibility and environmental awareness projects,

To carry out projects that will benefit the society by establishing cooperation with local, regional, national and international institutions and organisations,

To implement activities that support social integration and inclusion for individuals with special needs,

To provide qualified researches in the fields of health, science, engineering, social and human sciences to the service of the society,

To actively contribute to social service processes by collaborating with policy makers and implementing institutions,

Aiming to increase educational opportunities in the region and across the country by expanding language training and professional development programmes,

To support the public and private sector by increasing research, consultancy and knowledge transfer activities.

In line with these principles, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University acts with the understanding of being an inclusive and environmentally friendly university that offers its academic and scientific knowledge for the benefit of society, touches the society, and continues to develop its social contribution activities within the framework of continuous improvement and adopts these principles as ‘Social Contribution Quality Policy’.
