Organized by the European Association for International Education, EAIE 2017 conference took place in Seville, Spain between the 12th and 15th of September. Having been the Europe’s most important and largest, the world's second largest international higher education summit, EAIE 2017 hosted 200 exhibitors and 6000 university representatives from all over the world.
OKÜ was represented by Head of the Foreign Languages School & International Office Director Dr. Serpil UÇAR and Exhange Program Advisor Funda ÖZBAKIR.
Dr. Serpil UÇAR stressed the significance of the participating of EAIE summit as a valuable opportunity for universities from all over the world, interested in identifying the latest trends in internationalization, establishing new networks of student and academic exchange, or strengthening collaborations with peer universities in Europe.
The attendance of OKÜ delegation to the 29th edition of the EAIE is part of a strategy to promote the internationalization of OKÜ. During the conference many speacial organizations were held including sessions, special events, seminars, receptions, campus tours and workshops with the aim of fostering and supporting the internationalization staregies of the participants and institutions.
The theme of this year’s conference, ‘a mosaic of cultures’ was influenced not only by the tiles that cover the beautiful city of Seville but also by the vast array of backgrounds found in our very own international higher education community, working together to improve access to education for future generations.
